Our client, a leading hospital in Dubai that is part of a well-established healthcare group, is seeking an experienced General Surgeon (Specialist or Consultant) to join its surgical team and provide comprehensive general surgical care, with particular experience in Proctology.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical and surgical expertise in general surgery, with proven experience managing proctological conditions and procedures. A Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery is an advantage and will be considered favorably.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered surgical care within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist or consultant-level general surgical services within the hospital.
- Conduct comprehensive surgical consultations, clinical assessments, and pre-operative evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of general surgical conditions.
- Assess and manage patients presenting with proctological conditions and disorders.
- Perform appropriate elective and emergency general surgical procedures in accordance with established clinical standards.
- Perform proctological procedures within the scope of clinical expertise and hospital privileges.
- Develop individualized surgical treatment plans based on patient needs, clinical findings, and diagnostic results.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Manage complex surgical cases and provide expert clinical guidance when required.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to established surgical protocols and infection-control standards.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, gastroenterologists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation and medical records.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, surgical procedures, expected outcomes, risks, and post-operative care.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-wide healthcare programs.
Requirements
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Specialty qualification, Board Certification, or higher qualification in General Surgery.
- Proven specialist or consultant experience in General Surgery.
- Demonstrated clinical and surgical experience in Proctology.
- Experience in the diagnosis and surgical management of common proctological conditions and disorders.
- Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of current UAE clinical experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Must hold an appropriate DHA Specialist or Consultant License / Eligibility Letter, depending on the level of appointment.
- Proven experience in performing a broad range of general surgical procedures.
- Strong surgical judgment, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and high-quality surgical outcomes.
- Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.

Salary & Benefits
Specialist Salary: AED 40,000 – 60,000 per month
Consultant Salary: AED 60,000 – 80,000 per month
Salary will be determined based on qualifications, licensing status, experience, and clinical expertise.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise in general medicine, excellent patient assessment and management skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within a professional outpatient healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive General Practice and outpatient medical services.
- Conduct medical consultations, clinical assessments, and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
- Provide preventive healthcare, health education, and appropriate patient counseling.
- Monitor patients' clinical progress and provide appropriate follow-up care.

- MRCP or MRCGP qualification is an advantage.
- Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.
