ur client, a well-established outpatient department (OPD) in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join its medical team and provide comprehensive primary and outpatient care.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise in general medicine, excellent patient assessment and management skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within a professional outpatient healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive General Practice and outpatient medical services.
• Conduct medical consultations, clinical assessments, and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
• Provide preventive healthcare, health education, and appropriate patient counseling.
• Monitor patients’ clinical progress and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Identify cases requiring specialist assessment and make appropriate referrals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to established clinical, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs within the facility.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication use, and preventive healthcare.

Requirements

• Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or an equivalent recognized medical qualification from an accredited institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in General Practice, Family Medicine, or a related field is an advantage.
• Proven clinical experience as a General Practitioner in an outpatient, clinic, or hospital setting.
• MRCP or MRCGP qualification is an advantage.
• Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: USD 3,500 – 4,500 per month, depending on qualifications and years of experience
