Our client, a leading mental health center in Dubai that is part of a well-established hospital group, is seeking an experienced Psychiatry Consultant (Adult & Adolescent) to join its specialist mental health team and provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for adult and adolescent patients.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise in adult and adolescent psychiatry, excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered mental healthcare within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level psychiatric services for adult and adolescent patients within the mental health center.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, clinical evaluations, and diagnostic reviews.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and behavioral health conditions.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Provide ongoing patient follow-up, medication management, and treatment monitoring.
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated patient care.
- Manage complex psychiatric cases and provide expert clinical guidance when required.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation and medical records.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term mental health management.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and center-wide healthcare programs.
Requirements
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Specialty qualification, Board Certification, or higher qualification in Psychiatry.
- Subspecialty expertise or clinical experience in Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Minimum 3 years of current UAE clinical experience in a hospital or mental health setting.
- Must hold one of the following:
- Active DHA Consultant Eligibility Letter, or
- Valid DHA Consultant License.
- Proven experience in managing complex psychiatric cases and delivering specialist mental healthcare.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.

Working Hours: 48 hours per week
Shift: Day / Afternoon Shift
Contract Duration: 2 years (renewable)
Probation Period: 6 months
Salary & Benefits
Salary: AED 55,000 – 65,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)
