Psychiatric Specialist

Our client, a well-established group of private hospitals and outpatient clinics across the UAE, is currently seeking a Psychiatric Specialist to join their Outpatient Department (OPD) in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical judgment, a compassionate approach to mental health care, and a valid UAE MOH Specialist License.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and psychosis
• Conduct detailed psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor patient responses
• Provide psychotherapy or refer to psychologists as needed
• Offer crisis intervention and support for patients in acute psychological distress
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatments, and prevention
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including general practitioners, psychologists, and social workers
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records using EMR systems
• Keep updated with advancements in psychiatry and adhere to professional and ethical standards
• Comply with UAE healthcare laws, MOH regulations, and hospital protocols

Working Conditions

• Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
• Setting: Outpatient Department (OPD)
• Working Hours: 48 hours/week
• Shifts: Daytime only
• Contract: 2 years (renewable)
• Probation Period: 6 months

Educational & Professional Requirements

1. Medical degree from a recognized university
2. Completion of residency in Psychiatry from an accredited institution
3. Valid UAE MOH Specialist License in Psychiatry
4. Minimum 3–5 years of post-residency experience
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Salary & Benefits

• Gross Salary: AED 30,000 – 40,000 (inclusive of basic, housing, and transportation)
