Our client, a leading hospital in Dubai that is part of a well-established healthcare group, is seeking an experienced General Surgery Registrar to join its surgical team and support the delivery of comprehensive surgical care.

The ideal candidate will have solid clinical experience in general surgery, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage surgical patients under the supervision of senior surgeons. The successful candidate will be expected to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to surgical patients under the supervision of Consultant and Specialist surgeons.
• Conduct patient assessments, take comprehensive medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
• Evaluate patients presenting with acute and elective surgical conditions.
• Assist in the diagnosis and management of general surgical cases.
• Assist Consultant and Specialist surgeons in surgical procedures and operations.
• Perform appropriate minor surgical procedures within the scope of training and privileges.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
• Monitor patients’ clinical progress and identify any changes requiring senior medical review.
• Request and interpret relevant laboratory investigations and imaging studies.
• Prepare patients for surgery and ensure appropriate pre-operative assessments are completed.
• Provide post-operative follow-up and monitor for potential complications.
• Attend to surgical emergencies and provide appropriate initial management.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation and medical records.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient care with anesthetists, nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities.

Requirements

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification or recognized training in General Surgery.
• Relevant clinical experience in general surgery.
• MRCS qualification is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient-management skills.
• Must hold an appropriate DHA Specialist License / Eligibility Letter.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: AED 20,000 per month
