NICU Specialist (Dubai)

Our client, a leading private hospital in Dubai, is seeking a qualified NICU Specialist (Physician) to join their expert neonatal care team. The ideal candidate will be a Pediatric specialist with advanced Level 3 neonatal experience, capable of managing critically ill newborns, including extreme preterm infants and high-risk deliveries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care and management of critically ill newborns in a Level 3 NICU.
• Attend and manage high-risk deliveries in collaboration with obstetrics and pediatric teams.
• Perform advanced neonatal procedures, including endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Umbilical Venous and Arterial Catheterization (UVC, UAC), and Intercostal Drain (ICD) insertion.
• Diagnose and manage complex neonatal conditions such as Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn (PPHN), Meconium Aspiration Syndrome (MAS), Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), neonatal sepsis, and other neonatal pathologies.
• Provide expert counseling and support to parents of critically ill newborns with empathy and clarity.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary NICU team to ensure delivery of optimal neonatal care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and DHA regulations.
• Participate in clinical rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and ongoing medical education activities.

WORKING CONDITION

• Location: Dubai, UAE
• Setting: Neonatology UNIT / Hospital Setup
• Hours: Rotational (including nights and weekends)
• Contract: 2 years, renewable
• Probation: 6 months

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Medical degree from a recognized university.
2. Completion of fellowship/training in Pediatrics
3. Fellowship in Pediatric Neonatology
4. Valid DHA Specialist License
5. Minimum 3 years of experience as an NICU Doctor
6. Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Gross Salary: 

• AED 35,000 – 45,000 (inclusive of basic, housing, and transportation)
